This Patient Support App is aimed to provide a comprehensive support to people with diabetes, including awareness about diabetes and assisting with lifestyle modifications to manage diabetes like a pro.
India is a house to over 77 mm people with diabetes. 70% of the people with diabetes (PwD) do not achieve the recommended treatment target of HbA1c level below 7%. PwD are also unaware of the risks associated with uncontrolled diabetes. Obesity is also an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease, further compromising patient health outcomes. Over time, glycaemic control deteriorates and exacerbates the risk of PwD experiencing micro and macrovascular complications.
The App will provide content about-
• Diabetes complications
• Diabetes management is beyond HbA1c control
• Lifestyle modifications -an adjuvant therapy in management of type 2 diabetes
• Support patient adherence to treatment prescribed by HCPs as adherence is important for
patient outcomes
